Very rare 9.25" art deco vase D. 1262, designed in the Catteau atelier at Boch Freres Keramis.  The decoration has printed contours traced with ochre slip, filled in with matte cobalt, orange, watery green and black enamel, circa 1920-1930.  In excellent condition.

Monumental 18" vase by noted Italian potter Bruno Gambone, circa 2001.  In excellent condition.  Gambone was born in Salerno, Italy in 1936 and apprenticed with his father, Guido Gambone, at the age of 14.  After spending the fifties in the US, learning from such masters of modern art as Warhol, Lichtenstein and Rauschenberg, he returned to Italy in 1969 to take over the work of his deceased father.  The x on the bottom of the vase is a symbol devised by Gambone to indicate the type of clay used.

Beautiful 11" hand-painted floral plate thrown by Raimondo Baffoni and painted by Sabrina Matteucci, Gubbio, Italy.  The black color of the plate is achieved by polishing it with a boxwood stick.  The plate is then incised and decorated with liquid platinum and fired in a special oven.  A truly lovely one of a kind piece.  In excellent condition.

<p>Rare 10" Persian Deer vase by Carter Stabler Adams (later Poole Pottery), circa 1920s.  This hard to find vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restorations.  There is some waviness to the design in two small areas of banding.</p>
