Fabulous terracotta sculpture, "Mother and Child" by Chaim Gross, 1/8, signed and dated 1963. Sculpture measures 11.5" in height and 14.5" in length. Gross was born in what is now the Ukriane and came to the United States in 1921 and studied under Robert Laurant and Elie Nadelman. His work can be found in many public installations throughout the United States and in museum and private collections, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Smithsonian.
